Jeremiah 51–52 · 1 Corinthians 2
“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

TODAY’S DEVOTION
The Corinthians admired human eloquence, but Paul directed them toward truth revealed by the Spirit. The cross could not be reduced to the cleverness of a speaker, and the things of God could not be mastered by pride. We need the Holy Ghost to open understanding and form spiritual discernment.
The Spirit never leads us away from Scripture or gives private impressions authority over the Word. He illuminates truth, convicts the heart, exalts Jesus, and enables obedient response. Approach today’s reading with more than curiosity. Ask God to show you what must be believed, surrendered, and lived. Revelation is not given so we can feel superior to others; it is given so Christ can be known and His people can walk in truth.
