Heard From the First Day
Daniel 10–12
“Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard.”
Daniel 10:12 KJV
TODAY’S DEVOTION
Daniel waited three weeks before the answer became visible, but heaven’s response began on the first day he humbled himself and prayed. Delay did not mean neglect. The unseen conflict was real, and so was God’s attention.
Do not measure whether God hears by how quickly circumstances change. Continue in prayer without trying to control the outcome. The Holy Ghost helps us remain faithful when answers are delayed and understanding is incomplete. Your words offered in humility are not lost. Keep seeking God, and leave the timing in His hands.

Šāmaʿ means to hear, listen, or respond. The messenger tells Daniel that his words were heard from the first day he set his heart toward understanding.
Daniel 10 introduces the final vision and portrays Daniel mourning, fasting, and receiving assurance amid unseen spiritual conflict. Chapters 11–12 continue the revelation and point toward endurance.
