A Light That Points Beyond You
Matthew 3–5
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 KJV
TODAY’S DEVOTION
Jesus calls His followers to visible faithfulness whose final direction is the glory of God. Good works do not purchase salvation and are not performances for applause. They are the fruit of a life brought under Christ’s rule. Let your conduct make God’s goodness easier to recognize: serve quietly, speak truthfully, forgive freely, and live distinctly without making yourself the center.
