Gathered in His Name
Matthew 18–20
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20 KJV
TODAY’S DEVOTION
Christian community is more than people occupying the same room. When believers gather under the authority and purpose of Jesus' name, He promises His presence among them. This is not a call to religious performance, but to a sincere response of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ. Let the truth move from the page into the choices, words, and relationships of this day.

ὄνομα · onoma · G3686
Onoma means name and can carry the authority and character of the person named. Jesus places His name at the center of the gathering.
Matthew 18–20 presents this truth within the unfolding ministry of Jesus and the response He calls for. The selected verse should be read with the surrounding chapter so its promise and command remain joined to the passage.
