DAY 12 OF 14 · Prayer and communion
Pray in Trouble
Prayer does not deny trouble; it brings every concern into the guarding presence of God.
PRIMARY PASSAGE
Philippians 4:4–7
Read this passage slowly in your Bible before continuing. My Daily Altar uses the King James Version for its English Scripture experience.
BIBLICAL CONTEXT
Listen to the passage on its own terms.
Paul writes about rejoicing and peace from confinement. The promised peace is not the guarantee of an immediate change but God’s guard over heart and mind in Christ.
Reflect
What specific concern needs to move from repeated thought into specific prayer?
Respond
Name the request, add thanksgiving, and notice what you are entrusting to God.
Pray
God of peace, receive my request and guard my heart and mind while I wait upon You.
