DAY 9 OF 14 · Prayer and communion
Pray With Persistence
Persistent prayer keeps bringing the need to God without concluding that delay means indifference.
PRIMARY PASSAGE
Luke 18:1–8
Read this passage slowly in your Bible before continuing. My Daily Altar uses the King James Version for its English Scripture experience.
BIBLICAL CONTEXT
Listen to the passage on its own terms.
The unjust judge is a contrast, not a picture of God. If persistence can move an unjust judge, how much more can believers trust the righteous God who hears His people?
Reflect
What request have I stopped bringing because the answer did not come quickly?
Respond
Resume that prayer today while surrendering the timing and manner of the answer.
Pray
Righteous God, keep my heart from fainting and teach me to pray with patient confidence.
